BBC7, BBC Heaven!

It has not even been on air a week but BBC7 has taken a firm place in my radio listening, although this has been helped by the fact that they put I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue on every day at 7pm!

For those that don’t know, BBC7 is a digital radio station which has been set up to exploit the BBC’s comedy and drama archives, many of which only ever get one play on the radio before being burried back in the vaults.

The comedy programmes especially have caught my eye, especially programmes like Round The Horne, Knowing Me Knowing You and On The Hour which I’ve never heard before. With any luck we’ll get some of my personal Radio 4 faves like Radio Active and The Very World of Milton Jones, in there in the future.

The only problem with BBC 7 (besides the dubious name and the fact that it is, appallingly, only in mono on DAB) is that there seems to be so much on there, I’ve no idea how I’m going to be able to take it all in!
