Fopp-tastic.
I’d forgotten how dangerous Fopp is. Which is why I went to the Covent Garden branch at lunch and spent £42 on five CDs.
It was last November that I discovered Fopp whilst on a trip to Edinburgh. That first visit was an expensive one, as has every single visit since. The trouble is Fopp seem to know exactly what I like, and what I want, and put it right near the entrance, available at a price that puts most record chains to shame.
This ain’t no pop music shop. I don’t think I’ve ever gone in and any Kylie or Steps greet me as I walk in. Instead, it’s great indie,dance, folk, blues and world. And then there’s the DVD selection…
They may have only 14 stores, but I am hoping that they don’t open any more near to me. Thankfully the Covent Garden branch is a bit too far away from the office, else I dread to think what would happen to the old bank balance.
