Beds, beds and... err... beds.

One of the things about buying a house for the first time is that suddenly you have to go out and buy loads of things, which is why this evening, we ended up buying a bed.

There's something nervewracking about buying the thing you're going to sleep in for the next umpteem years so lets hope the £600 we've spent is right!

It's got a metal frame, draws underneath and looks rather swish.

The problem with buying beds though is the add-ons. The price may look cheap but by the time you've added on a decent mattress and everything else, it's suddenly got a hell of a lot dearer. And that's with something that is supposedly in the sale!

All this bed purchasing came after we'd popped over to the new house to do some measuring. It does seem smaller that it did when we first looked round - funny how the memory plays tricks on you - however it's still a good size.

It is however very strange to think that this is the first time we've seen it in over two months, and we based our decision to buy it on a 20 minute tour of the property - if that - and some rather inadequate notes that we made.

Still in a months time, we'll be in. Can't wait!
