Glasgow

We don't often do stuff at Bank Holiday weekends, but Catherine was going to Glasgow to attend some dull sounding archive conference, so we decided to go up early and make a weekend of it. And because it's what you do, there will be a series of posts all about it. Just to bore you to death.

We decided to fly up - Catherine's transport was being paid for anyway, and the flight would have been quicker than the train, and for the hotel, we got a cheap deal in the Glasgow Corus thanks to Expedia. Cheap deals on bank holiday weekends I hear you cry? What's all that about? Goodness knows but we didn't go up on the Friday and came back on the Tuesday so that probably helped...

If anyone's interested, we flew up British Airways who were the cheapest. Yes, even cheaper than Ryanair and EasyJet. And that was before we added on the cost of getting to their various airports. And with BA, you get free food too (yum...)

Anyway, with that said, I'll witter on about various things which you might find interesting. Or not. But hey, it's my site and I'll say them anyway.
