Aim and Shoot

Brighton was the first big test for the new digital camera, which we’d been merely pottering around with until then.

It’s a Kodak EasyShare CX7530 - the EasyShare bit coming from the fact that it has a big red button marked ‘Share’. I haven’t pressed it once. Nay, not even to see what happens. It’s also 5 megapixels and has a zoom. Wooo!

One thing has happened though - and not by pressing the red button. My enthusiasm for photography has returned. An enthusiasm I’ve not had for years.

Perhaps its been the years of having a crap analogue camera, combined with my crap photography skills, and being continually depressed every time a roll of film comes back from the developers with half the shots worth nothing but being thrown in the bin.

And of course digital photography makes sharing pictures much easier as well. The photo album is available to the world, not just visitors of your house. So late to the party as ever, I have my Flickr account set up and ready for your perusal. Or somet.

Now all I need to do is keep taking my camera with me wherever I go, and I’ll have gone completely photoloopy.

Have your say
