The Times reports the potential for BBC Worldwide to be merged with Channel 4 – thus giving Channel 4 the £100m profits made by BBC Worldwide. Of course that does mean that the BBC would be £100m down, and would no longer be able to raise revenue commercially in order to keep the licence fee down so the licence fee would either have to go up, or the BBC would have to cut back. So a bit like robbing Peter to pay Paul then. Although that seems to be every plan for saving Channel 4…
