Seeing as others have begun to spot this, yes you can now press red on BBC HD on Freesat, and you’ll be able to do it on Sky too VERY soon. Expect a blog post on Press Red some point next week with any luck.

Part 1 of Martin’s series on the BBC web search, which I worked on myself back in 2001. I always liked that project, partially because it was a rare project (at the time) where the designer didn’t just turn up with a PSD and demand that everything be done exactly as they’d prescribed. Instead Matt and myself sat down and discussed it, and worked out the best ways to do things whilst keeping the overall impact he wanted. I always liked the result visually, even if the tabs were slightly square (the code that did them was very clever though!)

Hurray! Yet again Anheuser-Busch loses yet another a court case in its bully-boy attempts to stamp out the mega threat of decent beer that is Budweiser Budvar, because its own insipid, tasteless rubbish is obviously far superior. This is despite the fact it’s been long known that the Czech version is older, and the name is derived from the town of Budweis. But in the midst of legal battle after legal battle after legal battle, don’t forget Anheuser-Busch’s company motto – Making Friends Is Our Business. Oh yes indeed.
