Have absolutely no interest in cars or car manufacturing myself, but the potential for General Motors to make a wholesale retreat from Europe really shows the damage that the US car companies have got themselves into by making cars no one wants. Will there even be a US owned car industry in 50 years time? Well you have to wonder.

Subsequent slogans say sorry for being negative, for taking you for granted, for being complacent and for being predictable." Blimey! The Evening Standard is really going out of its way to try and shed its old Daily Mail-esque image on this one.
