Just the other week I saw a group of 20 something lads openly swigging Magners at 11am on a Sunday morning on the Central Line platforms at Liverpool Street. That's not rare. Still, you wouldn't expect someone representing the mayor to be saying things like "Yeah, okay. We didn't get anywhere on this one. It's like Gin Lane down there" about a flagship policy now would you?
