For goodness sake, this is getting quite frankly STUPID now. You know in Paris they're doing major upgrade work on one Metro line and they haven't had a single line closure. It's time we started complaining. Big style. Because if the public made a noise, Tube Lines would HAVE to start taking notice. But instead people just tut and get on with it. FIGHT PEOPLE, FIGHT!

I would have thought a demand for £50s would be more to do with wanting to have your wallet less stuffed myself! We seem to have this peculiar aversion to fifties in the UK, yet in other parts of the world you can go into a shop with equivalent to £100 in one note and people will barely bother.

To save cash, apparently many local councils won't count the ballot papers until Friday morning. Bigger question is why we have such an insane system anyway? Surely doing EVERYTHING (counting, changing prime minister etc) all on one night is ridiculous and a slower staged handover would be better for all?
