3 April 2008: Comment Spam of the Day: Most of the time, the comment spam I get from my blog is pretty ordinary junk - sex sites, MP3s, etc. Then there’s the “posting almost-geniune looking comments but with a hidden agenda to promote a commercial web URL” - which seem to have a strange focus on buying houses, double glazing and, for some reason, a lingerie blog.
23 March 2008: Comments - email notifications and feed: When it comes to keeping track of comments on blogs, well frankly it’s a pain in the backside. I never remember where I’ve posted anything, and I rarely know if anyone has ever replied.
2 March 2008: Comments Publishing Policy: Because I like being transparent I have decided to publish my policy on the decisions which are made about comments and their publication on this website.
18 February 2008: The Intelligence of Comment Spammers: Ah, I thought. A false positive. A rather crap comment true, but one which presumably was in response to the whole comment spam issue.
16 February 2008: Comments now back - and the battle to get SpamFirewall running: Well you’re a right bunch of miserable people. Not one email to keep me company whilst the comments were down! Tsk! What do you think you’re playing at? Call yourself blog readers… Anyway, they’re back up now following some intensive hunting to find the cause of spam comments somehow making it on the site, despite all comments being pre-moderated.
13 February 2008: Comments Currently Disabled: An observant person might notice that comments on this blog are currently turned off. There’s a very good reason for this - today I logged into Movable Type and found that over the last few days, 44 spam comments had somehow gone live on the site.
3 January 2008: Letters to the Editor: January 2008: Riffling through the bin of ridiculousness… Yes it’s time to answer more emails from the bulging post bag, and we had a batch delivered that were sent in 2005! Royal Mail’s getting better all the time.

18 August 2007: What are you looking at?: I hadn’t actually loaded up Google Analytics for a while, so I thought I’d pop in and have a look at how everything on Planet Bods is fairing. Not that I’m hugely fussed generally about hits - it’s just nice to watch them over time stay, well, pretty much the same.

12 August 2006: The battle of the Spam: Over the last few weeks my humble email form has been getting a slowly increasing amount of spam emails sent through is - usually with Japanese email addresses for some reason. Now as the web form just gets sent to me and doesn’t go near the web site so I just sighed and put it with the rest of my spam.

1 December 2005: Tube Trekking: The Babylon 5 Tube Tour never actually happened - it’s a bit difficult to do a tube tour that takes in just two stations (Morden and Arsenal). That’s not a tour. That’s just a single journey. But it gave the idea for something with just a bit more potential. A Star Trek themed tube tour. It launched on Planet Bods on 30 September 2001. And now it’s been completely redone.
19 November 2005: New Email Form: It’s with a sense of trepidation that I today reactivated the first of my PHP built webforms since the email injection attack on my site nearly three weeks ago. Ever since then, I’ve had an ever increasing number attempts on the Hitoplive based forms which remained. None successful of course, but it’s meant that I’ve been a little cautious about unleashing my new script on the world.
5 November 2005: New Look Blog: Today sees a new look for this humble blog. After over three years of the purple and blue, in one form or other, it’s gone. In its place, a simpler, more subdude design, with a photo at the top. And why not?
24 October 2005: SQLized: Well all good things must come to an end. After over three years, I’ve finally moved Movable Type over to using mySQL instead of the old Berkley DB database. Wiith several hundred posts in it, things were just getting a little too slow to work with, so it had to go.
8 September 2005: Movable Type 3.2: Finally decided to leave the world of Movable Type v2.661 behind and embrace the world of version 3.2. It has a nicer interface after all, and plugins are good.
5 September 2005: Brief Feed Apology: Quick apology for anyone on the full text feed - I managed to break it when I reinstalled by PC last week, and I’ve only just noticed. It should be fixed now and the person responsible flogged as punishment.
31 August 2005: Mild In London: For some time now, I’ve been keeping a small web page about pubs in London which sell mild. It’s called Mild In London and it’s just been relaunched as it’s own site, complete with reviews, photos and a chance for people to comment.
13 August 2005: Firefox CSS Issues: Well it’s taken a year and I’ve finally fixed most of the issues with the CSS on my sites, and Firefox not displaying it, thus leaving the site looking plain and white until you refreshed.
27 July 2005: Old: Good golly Miss Molly, it’s been three years since this little old thing went online. Blimey.
1 June 2005: Feed Changes: Those of you using the Atom or RSS feed might have noticed that I’m now sending through 25 items - quite a sizable increase on the 8 I was sending through before.
17 May 2005: RSS Feed Changes: For some time there’s been a hidden RSS feed for this site - an RSS 0.91 feed of the blog headlines and summaries. And now there isn’t. But the two people who used it, should not fear as you should be using a different feed instead. Automagically. Honest.
30 April 2005: New look articles section: The articles section of this site has always been a bit of a mishmash. It liisted some articles by category and some just were dumped on the front page. So yesterday I redid it.
5 April 2005: Planet Bods Network: over the last few days, Planet Bods has changed. The times of serious stuff about Mark and Lard, and pointless stuff involving cartoons of pipe smoking trees are other… Sort of.
1 March 2005: Google, Yahoo and an API: I know, I know. I’m behind the times. But the announcement that Yahoo were opening up APIs to its search engine got me thinking that I could finally replace the Atomz search on this site, with something that doesn’t force me to have crummy ads on it.
22 January 2005: Bods Central v3 and Conditional Comments: Well here it is, Bods Central v3.0. It’s only really a re-skin of the content but the old design had been in use since November 2002, and I’ve been itching for a change for a while.
13 December 2004: A Christmas Touch: Oh, the holly? Well it is that time of year.
10 October 2004: Site Searched. Last Year…: I was in the process of deleting the site search for Planet Bods when I discovered that this site hasn’t actually been indexed by the search engine since August 2003…
18 September 2004: CSS and Email Forms fixed, and some PHP: Broken (and fixed) CSS, broken (and fixed) email forms and some PHP thrown in to boot! Yay!
16 August 2004: Mozilla Firefox 0.9 and CSS problems: If you’re using Mozilla Firefox 0.9.x - and if you are, you’ll probably know it - you might be looking at a very plain webpage without any proper colours or styles on it.
3 April 2004: RSS Reassurance!: Incidently just because I have become very sceptical about RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and done my latest feed in Atom, doesn’t mean the existing RSS 2.0 and RSS 0.91 feeds are going anywhere.
3 April 2004: New Atom Full Post Feed: There’s a new full-stories feed for your pleasure. If you use an aggregator to view the site, feel free to give it a try.
30 March 2004: Rant ‘n’ Rave Subcategories: I’ve been looking at the hierarchy for categories in this the site for some time and have been less than impressed with what I see.
24 March 2004: Keywords Metadata: It’s taken me a long time to realise, but I finally have. The meta keywords tag in HTML is now very pointless.
9 March 2004: New Theme.: Being bored is dangerous. It means I tend to mess with things. And lo, there is now a third theme to the site.
