It was our second stint on the Pennine Way, having done a day and a half on it back at the end of March, doing Gargrave to Horton-in-Ribblesdale, whilst also doing some walking around Malham on day one, and a circular walk around Horton on day three.

After a days rest, it was back to the hills again, enjoying the slightly spooky empty hamlet, a big climb, a lovely lake and a long descent.

If you're ever in Bergen, let me suggest the Hotel Augustin. It's a nice place - friendly staff, fair trade coffee, organic tea and at breakfast they have what they call "eco-museli". There's lots of "eco" stuff in Bergen. It seems to mean organic. I think. Anyway, the "eco-museli", perhaps with a spoonfull of rasins, is really nice.
