27 August 2004: Railcard Savings: My very last Young Persons Railcard expired on 13 August 2004 - I’m now too old for one and train fares will now be sadly, more expensive.
17 August 2004: The F-Word v3.0: At long last, version 3.0 of The F-Word has gone live. Given I first started work on redesigning Catherine’s site back in December 2002, you might understand that its launch is somewhat of a relief to me.
16 August 2004: Mozilla Firefox 0.9 and CSS problems: If you’re using Mozilla Firefox 0.9.x - and if you are, you’ll probably know it - you might be looking at a very plain webpage without any proper colours or styles on it.
16 August 2004: The PR of strikes: I never cease to be surprised by the stupidity of some unions. Any strike is a PR disaster for a union, but some unions seem to revel in making the disruption for the public as great as possible.
15 August 2004: DIY: Is there something about owning a house? Something that makes you do things like spend ages in Homebase comparing the different types of tub that you could put it on the balcony.
12 August 2004: It’s Anti-Political Correctness Gone Mad!: It’s quotes like these that make the rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth brigade such easy targets.
3 August 2004: Buying a House 2 - Estate Agents: It’s a rare person who has ever gone near an estate agent who has something good to say about them. Which didn’t exactly make me feel good when, just after christmas, we decided to get on the house hunting trail.
1 August 2004: Awards, locals and headaches: The Red Lion wins another award, I lament about the lack of London Pride round here and Young’s beer gives me headaches. Still that’s the way the cookie crumbles.
