7. Types of Student: When non-students imagine life in the older universities, they often think that the students look like this. The weird thing is, some of them actually do. These people are pure eccentrics. They have the mental age of a 50 year old living in the 1930s, and dress accordingly. They often wear their gown to lectures or just walking around town, and some even insist on wearing a mortar board, even though - and I must stress this point - Durham doesn't have them. All in all though, these people are invariably jolly nice chaps and they've got guts too.
