The Cast

The majority of the cast were some hopeless chances with no acting ability, chosen for their parts purely on the basis of their muscle size and how blonde their hair was. Negbores however, did have it's fair share of decent actors from Australia's acting elite:

Anne Badly (Helen Daniels)

By sheer coincidence, Negbores managed to have several characters who just happened to have the same name as similar characters in the rival soap opera, Neighbours. Helen Daniels was one of those coincidences.

It is perhaps true to say that Helen was the most popular character in Negbores. Helen was a senior citizen who everyone loved for her amazing ability to fall off sofas and to be able to paint, no matter what happened to her. Anne Badly made the role her own with her witty one liners and her practical jokes. The number of times off camera that Anne would practice falling off the settee, was uncountable, to the amusement of the cast and crew. It is perhaps sad to note then that Anne was taken into hospital shortly after one such joke went wrong, and never walked again. Which may explain why Helen suddenly, without explanation, started traveling by wheelchair...

Anne Badly died in the summer of 1999, after a brief illness.

Martini Daniels (Martin Daniels)

The son of English magician Paula Daniels, and magician in his own right, Martini did magic for the show by managing to be a part of the completely confusing and incomprehensible Helen Kidnap story line. Perhaps Martini conjured away all explanation of why his character (Martin Daniels) actually appeared...

Since appearing in Negbores, Martin has done little of any interest.

Stefan O'Brady-Bunch (Unseen Voice)

Stefan launched a highly successful singing career during his time in Negbores and has had twenty number one hits. Admittedly they were in Cuba where Fidle Castro bought every single copy of Stefan's CD Sock It To Them Baby, to use as mats in his new Presidential Palace.

Stefan had been reluctant to join the cast of Negbores but after realizing he was unlikely to get a job anywhere else, he decided, What the hell! He took the role of the evil Paul Bobbinson to heart, making it own, and making everyone everywhere think he was evil - without even hearing his CD!

Harold Wilson (Harold Wilson)

Formerly Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1964-1970 and from 1974-1976, after his death, using the magic of animatronics, Harold found himself a star of the much loved soap opera. Since then, his acting skills have been in high demand, especially for use on the British TV station ITV who like his dead pan qualities.

Cherry Brandy (Jack Daniels)

After an uneventful career sitting on a supermarket shelf, Cherry took a label change, some cosmetic surgery and was transformed into the popular character Jack Daniels. Cherry described it as one of the most challenging roles of his life and put much research into his role. However, since the end of the first series of Negbores, Cherry has been struggling with his alcohol addiction.

Southern Comfort (Ben Eagles)

Originally from the depths of the southern states of the USA, Southern was a big name signing, being poached from rival Aussie soap opera, Away and Home. Southern returned to the states recently to work on Smaywatch. He is also a driving force behind a Negbores spin off called Jack, Ben and Glen which is currently in the planning stages.

Captain Morgan (Glen Fiddich)

Formally a captain in the Australian Navy, Morgan is a very private man, especially when it comes to telling people what his first name is. He is affectionately known as The Captain, or Cap to his friends. The Captain is well known as a good pick-me up for sailors.
