Channel 4

For years Channel 4 was the nation's fourth channel. Well, okay, it still is. It is a government owned corporation but unlike the Beeb, relys totally on advertising revenues. In its early days C4 had a very funky logo made up of coloured blocks, and this rather dudey jingle:
