When I was a kind there were no memerable jingles on Granada. The reason for this was not that the jingles on Granada were crap. Nope. It's because there were no jingles on Granada. And no animated idents either.
Scores of children across the country would be mesmorised by rotating eye idents, mirrored London skylines, or badly drawn lions rotating round for no apart reason, nor purpose. Granadaland kids got a bright blue background with a crappy yellow logo. It didn't move. It didn't make a sound. I personally think we should all unite and sue Granada for emotional distress.
It took until 1991 before the silent station stopped being silent. Even when it started doing jingles, they weren't that exciting.... Granada's later jingle from 1995 didn't improve matters much either...
