ITV

In 1989 someone came up the idea of having an ITV generic logo and jingle. And it was funky. However, not everyone liked it. So they got rid of it. However, so unpopular was the jingle, that Tyne Tees used it for a further two years and Grampian used the whole ident until late 1998 and still used the jingle until the Autumn of 1999.

Sadly the current version, in use since 1999 isn't as nice.
